The Gorgeous Glasses Case - £5+VAT

The Gorgeous Glasses Case is a simple, shaped glasses case with a wrist-strap which is so easy to make that you will want to make more than one!

The glasses case is made with fusible fleece inside, to give some protection for your glasses. The case and flap are made separately before being joined together, so you can use one fabric or two coordinating fabrics. Great for using up smaller pieces of your favourite fabrics! The flap closes with a simple-to-use magnetic clasp.

• Features of the Gorgeous Glasses Case

  • The flap and main section are two separate pieces, so you can choose to make you case in one fabric or two;

  • There are instructions to help you get the perfect position for your magnetic clasp;

  • Each piece is fully stitched together before finally joining, so you are working with flat pieces right up to the end;

  • There are instructions for a wrist strap, so you don’t have to worry about losing your glasses case;

  • The pattern pattern contains full pieces, with separate pieces for fabric and fleece, so you don’t have to worry about folding your fabric before cutting out;

  Quilting weight cotton:

  • Fabric - 15” x 9”

  • Lining - 15” x 7”

  Fusible fleece: 12” x 6½”

  Fusible interfacing: (medium weight fusible interfacing) 15” x 14”

  Hardware: Magnetic snap, ½” D-ring, ½” swivel hook

  Sundries: fabric marker, seam ripper, hump jumper

  Optional extras:  ¼” machine foot, double-sided tape or fabric glue stick, pinking shears, point turner

• Suggested fabrics

  Outer: Cotton quilting weight fabrics; cotton canvas; denim; waterproof canvas; cork; faux leather

  Lining: Cotton quilting weight fabrics; brushed cotton

  Fusible interfacing: Any medium weight fusible interfacing, woven or non-woven

  Fusible Fleece: Vlieseline H630 low loft fusible fleece; Pellon fusible fleece, or similar
